Top Things for Families to do in Phuket

Heading to Phuket and not sure how you’ll keep the kids entertained? Never fear! Phuket is one of the most family friendly destinations around, with no shortage of adventures for the whole family.

Anthem Wakepark
Floating on a 50,000 sqm lake in the middle of the Phuket jungle, the Anthem Wakepark is perfect for the family who loves adventure. If you’re lucky, you’ll spot some professionals training at the park to give the whole family something to aspire to! You can also try the Phuket Wake Park which offers similar experiences.

Phuket Fantasea
Animals, magic and acrobatics combine to tell a story of Thai dance and history at this epic, family friendly attraction. It’s been rated Thailand’s best attraction and once you’ve seen the shows you can enjoy a spot of shopping or some food at one of the many restaurants.

Kamala Beach
At Kamala Beach you’ll find all of the beautiful beachside perks but without the business of nearby Patong. If you’re looking for kid friendly places to eat, many of the restaurants on Kalama beach are right on the sand and feature kids toys to entertain the littlies while you’re enjoying a meal. If you’re looking for more beautiful spots for a dip in the sea try Kata Beach, Mai Khao Beach and Karon Beach for spots that are a little more peaceful.

Phuket Aquarium
The perfect indoor activity if the weather isn’t great, the Phuket Aquarium has been recently renovated and features plenty of sea creatures both big and small. Get hands on with a few of the slimier and squishier ones in the touch tank and keep your eyes peeled for a few things with very big teeth…

The Big Buddha
This 45m high statue looks down on all of Phuket and while you can see it from most of the surrounding area, it’s worth a trip to the top. Families with older kids can hike from Karon, while families with smaller children can drive up and save your legs for swimming and shopping.

Baan Teelanka (The Upside Down House)
The Upside Down House is just as the name says – a house that’s been build upside down! It’s part of three attractions grouped together, the House, a maze and an escape room and it certainly needs to be seen to be believed. Take some crazy photos of kids climbing the walls! If you’re in the mood for a little more trickery, the Phuket Trickeye Museum is an interactive 3D painting exhibition that will be sure to fool you and the kids.
