The Top 5 Reasons Families are Choosing Cruise Holidays

Why is cruise the fastest growing sector in travel? What are those sea faring families and their brood’s privy to?

Let us explain what all the fuss is about with our top 5 reasons families are choosing cruise holidays. (And why you need to book your loved ones on a sea adventure STAT!).
  1. Kids Club
The kids clubs on cruise ships are next level. These action-packed clubs not only have extensive facilities and planned activities but are separated into age-specific groups to ensure the kids are properly engaged and enjoying themselves.

One of our favourites is Carnival’s Club O2 program which they created alongside Coca-Cola as a hang out exclusively for 15 – 17 year old’s. The space features dance floors in music world, Xbox and Nintendo Wii’s for casual gaming or crowd tournament style battles as well as lounge life for relaxing and chilling out.
  1. Water on Water – Amazing Water Parks
Cruise lines not only have impressive pool areas and kids clubs, but family friendly ships sport entire waterparks! Carnival offer their famous WaterWorks Aqua Park featuring a minimum 300 foot slide and racing slides as well as varying extras depending on the ship including giant tipping buckets and  twister slides.

Royal Caribbean boast their own line of liquid amusement with H20 Zone and Splashaway Bay both have an assortment of pools, spraying geysers, water cannons and areas for infants who are not toilet trained! Splashaway Bay also boasts waterslides and giant tipping bucket.

  1. Things To Do
One of the common misconceptions of cruising is the fear of being bored or stuck with nothing to do and wanting to leave. Those who have experienced cruising know this is as far from the truth as one could get.

One example is Princess cruises are required to have 52 activities per day, every day; yet they average over 100. That is 100 different activities on top of your relaxing at the pool, playing a round of tennis, enjoying a drink at the bar or meal with the family.

On board activities range from art auctions and educational lectures to bingo and speed painting to cooking demonstrations, live music and DJs.

Cruises are also famous for their incredible shows from the world class Broadway pieces such as MSC’s exclusively created circus de soleil shows to the Majestic Princesses technologically advanced masterpiece, Fantastic Journey, that features drones hovering on stage as fireflies.

Pair this with a great itinerary stopping at amazing destinations and you will have yourself an action-packed holiday.

What is important to note is all cruise ships are different and specialise in certain areas, so it’s important to speak to a cruise consultant before your first cruise to ensure you’ve found the right fit!

  1. All You Can Eat
You can enjoy dining in abundance! Buffet, café, and a la carte dining are all included in your cruise (minus specialty restaurants which are certainly worth the extra expense!), no matter what your dietary requirements or preferences there will be plenty to eat on board.

  1. Easy To Plan
Choose the right one for your family. You’re done. Your meals, drinks, itinerary, activities… everything is looked after for you!

BONUS REASON - NO CLEANING

Daily servicing and all meals included translates to no cooking, food preparing, dishes or bed making. You can even send laundry away at a much cheaper cost than hotels. Need we say more?
